The Andrew Park Foundation has named composers June Young Kim (South Korea) and Joseph Lee (USA) prize-winners in the Foundation's first annual Andrew Park Composition Prize. Messrs. Kim and Lee will each receive a cash prize valued at $1,500 and will have their new works premiered at New York's Merkin Concert Hall on Sunday, December 16, 2018, 3 p.m.

California Shakespeare Theater announced today the return of its record-breaking hit play black odyssey for a special limited engagement, September 25 through October 7, 2018 at the Bruns Amphitheater. Marcus Gardley's music-filled journey through African-American folklore garnered box office records, critical acclaim, sold-out houses, and standing ovations during its initial August 2017 run.

He was also Anatolij in the Swedish version of Chess a few years later. Since then 'Anthem' is one of his key songs.

The 25th annual Lotus World Music & Arts Festival will fill the streets of downtown Bloomington, Indiana with sights and sounds from around the globe (September 27-30, 2018).  Thirty international artists, free large-scale art installations, and events for all ages will fill 14 downtown Bloomington venues with palpable energy and an eclectic blend of global sound and spectacle. Noted American playwright, screenwriter, and librettist David Henry Hwang who wrote the 1988 Tony Award for Best Play 'M. BUTTERFLY' (which is currently playing at Maybank Performing Arts Theater until September 30) is coming to Manila to conduct a strictly by invitation only 'Master Class' on September 28 - 3 pm.

ROCKTOPIA is thrilled to announce that NBC's "The Voice" finalist We McDonald will be joining the show's National Tour next month. Direct from its smash-hit run on Broadway, the international music sensation kicks off its fall tour on October 18, 2018 at Bergen County Performing Arts Center in New Jersey. Nineteen-year-old McDonald joins the previously announced guest star Dee Snider from Twisted Sister for all tour stops, which include the Tilles Center in New York (October 20), Palace Theater in Pennsylvania (October 24), Akron Civic Theatre in Ohio (October 25), Youngstown Powers Memorial Auditorium in Ohio (October 26), and  KeyBank State Theatre at Playhouse Square in Ohio (October 27). 

With a long list of career achievements as a singer and actress, both on TV, theatre and performing live around the world, it's only natural that being the first Israeli actress to take over a leading role on Broadway, specifically in its longest running American musical, Chicago, is the latest addition to Shiri Maimon's highly impressive resume.

Full casting has been announced for Caroline, Or Change, the celebrated musical written by Tony Kushner, author of Angels in America, with a soaring score from Tony Award-winning Jeanine Tesori, which will run at the West End's Playhouse Theatre from 20 November 2018 to 9 February 2019.

The Verdi Chorus 35th anniversary season culminates with its Fall 2018 concert Passione! Opera! for two performances only at the First United Methodist Church in Santa Monica on November 10 and 11 led by Founding Artistic Director Anne Marie Ketchum.   As the only choral group in Southern California that focuses primarily on the dramatic and diverse music for opera chorus, this program, which marks the end of a landmark year for the company, will feature selections from three Verdi operas - Aida, Don Carlo, and the famed chorus 'Va, pensiero,' from Nabucco, as well as operatic sequences from Boito's Mefistofele, Saint-Saens' Samson and Delilah, Catalani's La Wally and Offenbach's The Tales of Hoffmann.

On October 12-14, Theatre West hosts "To Dad with Love: A Tribute to Buddy Ebsen," starring Kiki Ebsen.Accompanied by four of Los Angeles' premiere jazz musicians, Kiki shares the story of Buddy Ebsen's seven-decade entertainment career through songs, poignant stories, and Dustin Ebsen's media montage that details her father's life. 

Grammy award winning Jess Glynne – singer, star and voice of the street –shares the ACOUSTIC VERSION and CLiQ REMIX for 'All I Am' off her upcoming sophomore album 'Always In Between' due for release on October 12th via Atlantic Records.
