PBS' Lidia Celebrates America: A Heartland Holiday Feast To Air 12/18

This holiday season, renowned chef, author and food ambassador Lidia Bastianich travels to rural communities across the U.S. to explore the patchwork of traditions that make up America's diverse cuisine, in a holiday celebration of big meals from small towns.

BITTER GREENS Makes World Premiere At 59E59 Theaters

59E59 Theaters (Val Day, Artistic Director; Brian Beirne, Managing Director) presents the world premiere of BITTER GREENS, written by Clea DeCrane and directed by Kevin Kittle. Produced by Station 26 Productions, BITTER GREENS begins performances on Friday, December 7 for a limited engagement through Sunday, December 23. Press Opening is Friday, December 14 at 7:30 PM. The performance schedule is Tuesday - Saturday at 7:30 PM; and Sunday at 2:30 PM. Please note: there is an added performance on Saturday, December 8 at 2:30 PM. Performances are at 59E59 Theaters (59 East 59th Street, between Park and Madison). Single tickets are $25 ($20 for 59E59 Members). Tickets are available by calling Ticket Central at 212-279-4200 or by visiting www.59e59.org. Please note: After October 28, 59E59 Theaters will transition to a new ticketing system. Get ready for 'DC in D.C.' During the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday weekend, Warner Bros. Television Group, DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. Home Entertainment will team up for 'DC in D.C.,' a landmark pop culture event that brings together the worlds of entertainment and public service to illuminate the story of America and current issues through the lens of comics and Super Heroes. Events will take place Friday, January 12, and Saturday, January 13, 2018, at the Newseum, and will culminate with the world premiere screening of the upcoming DC series Black Lightning - based on the first African-American DC Super Hero to have his own stand-alone comic title - in the Warner Bros. Theater at the Smithsonian's National Museum of American History, with a party to follow at the National Museum of African American History and Culture????.

Family Pictures USA to Host Grand Finale Celebration

For the past 5 weeks, the "Family Picture USA" team has been gathering photographs and stories from Detroiters about their lives, their families, their personal Detroit history. This precious material will be assembled into the pilot episode of a new television series being filmed for Detroit Public Television and PBS's World Channel.
