Steven Hauck Replaces Jonathan Lincoln Fried in SPY GARBO, Opens 3/6

Steven Hauck has replaced Jonathan Lincoln Fried as Wilhelm Canaris in the Affinity Company Theater and 3-Legged Dog world premiere production of Sheila Schwartz's 'SPY GARBO,' directed by Kevin Cunningham. This Off Broadway engagement will be performed at 3LD Art & Technology Center, 80 Greenwich Street (just south of Rector). The dates remain the same (as previously announced) with previews beginning on Tuesday, March 1, and the official Opening Performance on Sunday, March 6 at 3:00 p.m.

Ohio Theatre Finds New Home in the West Village

Soho Think Tank, the two-time OBIE Award-winning theatre company that ran the legendary Ohio Theatre in Soho for twenty years, has been offered a new home in The Archive Building at 145 Christopher Street, by the building's owner Rockrose Development Corp.

Untitled Theater Company #61 Hosts Free the Androids Benefit Fundraiser, 12/4

Untitled Theater Company #61 (UTC61) will host a benefit for the Free the Androids movement, a movement devoted to the plight of the enslaved androids on Mars, on Saturday, December 4, 2010. UTC61's production of Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?, a stage adaption of the Philip K Dick novel, which will run at 3-Legged Dog November 18 through December 12, was the inspiration for the fundraiser. Proceeds may also be used to help benefit the theater company.

3-Legged Dog Theatre Co. Reaches Settlement with Landlord

The theater company 3-Legged Dog has made a settlement with its landlord, the Metropolitan Transit Authority, the New York Times reports. The MTA had previously threatened 3-Legged Dog with eviction from its 80 Greenwich Street location, due to 3-Legged Dog's failure to pay over $300,000 owed to MTA.
