Steven Hauck Replaces Jonathan Lincoln Fried in SPY GARBO

By:

Steven Hauck has replaced Jonathan Lincoln Fried as Wilhelm Canaris in the Affinity Company Theater and 3-Legged Dog world premiere production of Sheila Schwartz's SPY GARBO, directed by Kevin Cunningham. This Off-Broadway engagement will be performed at 3LD Art & Technology Center, 80 Greenwich Street (just south of Rector). The dates remain the same (as previously announced) with previews beginning on Tuesday, March 1, and the official Opening Performance on Sunday, March 6 at 3:00 p.m.

Steven Hauck appeared on Broadway opposite Tovah Feldshuh in Irena's Vow. His Off-Broadway credits include Screwtape in The Screwtape Letters and new plays with Playwrights Realm, The Directors Company, Invictus Theatre, Emerging Artists, the York, NYMF, FringeNYC and the Young Playwrights Festival at the Cherry Lane. He toured in The Phantom of the Opera (Paris, Berlin and Vienna) and appeared in Clytemnestra, adapted and directed by Tadashi Suzuki. Regional theater credits include Death of a Salesman directed by Ethan McSweeny (UDel REP), Art (Geva), Cyrano (Milwaukee Rep), La Bête (Two River Theater), and How I Learned to Drive (Tennessee Rep). His film credits include: Confessions of a Shopaholic, Almost Perfect with Roger Rees and You Can't Have it All with Wendie Malick. His television credits include: Delocated, Law & Order CI, and All My Children.

In SPY GARBO, Fascist Francisco Franco (Steven Rattazzi), Communist Kim Philby (Chad Hoeppner), and Hitler's Wilhelm Canaris (Steven Hauck) are trapped together in History's limbo - an infinite library of scenes from their past's archival newsreels, noir thrillers and Nazi home movies. The men argue, re-construct and re-live their personal exploits, challenge accepted history, rationalize and lie - to one-up Garbo, the master secret agent, and win the starring role in History's definitive WW II spy-adventure movie.

The complete schedule for SPY GARBO (March 1 through April 10) will be: Tuesdays thru Saturdays at 8:00 p.m., and Sundays at 3:00 p.m. Tickets will be $30.00 for general admission, with a $40.00 reserved seat ticket also available. To reserve tickets, visit www.ovationtix.com/trs/pr/800025/1299027600000/prm/ or call 212-352-3101.
