As the New York Times reported earlier this month, Broadway producer Kevin McCollum has joined forces with 20th Century Fox to develop 9-12 musicals based on Fox movies. There is no word yet on which of Fox's 4,500 movies will be adapted for the stage as a part of the deal, but McCollum told NYT: 'Theater is about surprises and things that you haven't seen before on stage. There are amazing Fox Searchlight titles and great films from the '70s that nobody today has heard of.'

20th Century Fox has formed a joint venture with top Broadway producer and Tony Award winner Kevin McCollum (Motown, Rent, Avenue Q, In the Heights), prolific film producer John Davis (Predator, The Firm, Grumpy Old Men, I Robot, Chronicle) and leading industry executive Tom McGrath, to develop live stage productions based upon the studio's vast library of films.

Profiles in History, run by Joe Maddalena, is thrilled to announce that these iconic costumes worn by Julie Andrews and the 'Von Trapp' children, will be on the auction block at their Hollywood auction on July 29th. Singer Nicole Dillenberg stars in a one-woman cabaret style concert that pays tribute to Hollywood star Alice Faye at a 2 PM matinee performance today, June 30th at Arthur Newman Theatre in The Joslyn Center in Palm Desert. Ms. Faye lived in Rancho Mirage and passed away May 9, 1998 at the age of 83. In 'Yes To You', Nicole Dillenberg will tell stories about Alice Faye's long and illustrious career and personal life including her marriage to Phil Harris and Tony Martin.
