Howard Hawks, the quintessential Hollywood director known for his mastery of many genres, will be the subject of a complete retrospective at Museum of the Moving Image from September 7 through November 10, 2013. The Museum will present 39 features. All of the films will be shown in 35mm-many in stunning restorations-except for Red Line 7000, which will be shown in 16mm.

The Film Society of Lincoln Center announced Fasten Your Seatbelts (Part 2): 20th Century Fox (today, August 9-15), a summertime big screen showcase of some of the movie studio's most beloved and unforgettable films. Presented via DCP restorations and beautiful studio library 35mm prints, with a focus on a single artist and their creative contribution to each film, Fasten Your Seatbelts is sure to be a truly rare movie-going event. In the summer of 2010, FSLC presented the first Fasten Your Seatbelts series to coincide with and celebrate 20th Century Fox's 75th Anniversary. The popularity of that series, including screenings of classics like ALL ABOUT EVE, M*A*S*H and ALIEN all but demanded that Film Society and the studio present a 'sequel' at some point.

The Museum of Modern Art honors Dante Ferretti (Italian, b. 1943) with a large-scale multimedia installation comprising a 12-screen labyrinth featuring projected scenes from his work; original set pieces from the films that earned him three Academy Awards; and a six-month retrospective of 22 films featuring the production designer's career-defining work. DANTE FERRETTI: DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION FOR THE CINEMA, on view from September 28, 2013 through February 9.

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, 20th Century Fox recently formed a joint venture with top Broadway producer and Tony Award winner Kevin McCollum (Motown, Rent, Avenue Q, In the Heights), prolific film producer John Davis (Predator, The Firm, Grumpy Old Men, I Robot, Chronicle) and leading industry executive Tom McGrath, to develop live stage productions based upon the studio's vast library of films. Now according to the New York Times, Fox won't be the only major film studio with movie-based musicals in the woks in the coming years.

DreamWorks Animation (DWA) has named children's programming leader and former Nickelodeon executive Marjorie Cohn as its first-ever Head of Television, overseeing the production and development for DreamWorks Animation's television efforts. A 26-year veteran of Nickelodeon, Cohn most recently held the role of President, Content Development, completing a Nickelodeon tenure during which she was engaged in the development, creation and production of some of the most successful children's programs in television history including SpongeBob Squarepants, Rugrats, iCarly, and the Kids' Choice Awards. With Cohn's contributions, Nickelodeon grew to be the number one cable broadcaster in the world.

Profiles in History, run by Joe Maddalena, is thrilled to announce that these iconic costumes worn by Julie Andrews and the 'Von Trapp' children, will be on the auction block at their Hollywood auction today, July 29th. Hugh Jackman...One Night Only will take place on Saturday, October 12, 2013, at The Dolby Theatre, marking his first time performing in Southern California. The One Night Only event is co-chaired by Jim Gianopulos, Chairman and CEO, 20th Century Fox, and his wife Ann, longtime supporters of MPTF.
