​​​​​​​The UK's leading new musical theatre company for young people 11-21 years old has announced their 2022 season of summer performances filled with brand new musicals, adaptations, some returning BYMT shows and even dance led work.

Capitulate, product of the youth drama project Together Stronger, will open in Northern Ireland on Saturday, February 15th, 2014. Formed by a partnership between 174 Trust, Youth Action Northern Ireland, and author and peace builder Tony Macaulay, the project was created as a means for teenagers to make their voices heard among their community, while also giving them an opportunity to learn and develop devising, rehearsal and performance skills. Two performances of the drama will run at the Duncairn Centre for Arts and Culture and Youth Action NI in College Square North.

The sixth annual edition of Origin's 1st Irish, the world's only theatre festival dedicated to Irish playwrights, runs from September 2 to 29. Curated and coordinated by the New York-based Origin Theatre Company, the month-long festival features plays and productions in a stimulating array of styles, by contemporary Irish playwrights from Belfast, Dublin, Boston and New York.

Jimmy Webb, Chairman of the Songwriters Hall of Fame has announced the slate of 2012 nominees for induction. The organization, which is dedicated to recognizing the work and lives of those composers and lyricists who create popular music around the world, holds annual elections to determine those who will make up the roster of inductees for the following year.

Windy City, the 1982 musical version of the classic newsroom comedy The Front Page, will be seen at the Walnut Street Theatre in Philadelphia in a revised version that will run from September 5th through October 22nd
