Shawn Matthews

Shawn is an actor, singer , dancer from the Central PA area. He is a student at Lebanon Valley College in Annville, PA studying Audio and Music Production. Shawn loves being on stage and would like to pursue a career in Broadway Show. Shawn is the recipient of the 2018 Hershey Theatre Apollo Award for Outstanding Performance as a Lead Actor for his portrayal of Usnavi De La Vega in CD East's production of In the Heights. His other roles include Prince Eric in The Hershey Area Playhouse's production of the The Little Mermaid, Seymour in LVC's presentation of The Little Shop of Horrors and Twig in his high school's presentation of Bring it On, The Musical. In addition to acting, Shawn is also a dancer and choreographer. He has trained in Hip-Hop and Bollywood for the past 7 years and has performed at several events across USA as a part of a professional dance troupe based in New Jersey. He also choreographs and is the company director for the Hip Hop Competition Troupe at a dance studio in York.
