Duane Thomas BIO

Duane has appeared in about 30 production in the OC and LA area. Recent roles include: Charles Guiteau in Assassins, Michael Evans in Dancing at Lughnasa, King Arthur in Camelot, Colonel Ricci in Passion and Albert in Bye Bye Birdie. Duane is the co-founder of Expedition Entertainment and currently working on several screen plays.

Photo Coverage: Actors Fund Dedicates The Dorothy Ross Friedman Residence


Just yesterday, the Actors Fund officially renamed their Manhattan residence, "The Aurora," (West 57th and 10th Avenue) at a special ribbon cutting ceremony.  The residence will now be called "The Dorothy Ross Friedman Residence."  Brian Stokes Mitchell and Chita Rivera were there for the occasion, and BroadwayWorld brings you an inside look at the festivities below!

ASSASSINS Opens at Mysterium Theatre Tomorrow, 5/31


The Mysterium Theatre's production of the musical ASSASSINS is set to open tomorrow night, May 31, and run through June 30. The show performs on Friday and Saturdays at 8:01pm and Sundays at 7:01pm, and on June 8 and 15, there will also be a matinee performance at 2:01pm.

HERE and Hip-Hop Theater Festival Present HOW TO BREAK, 10/18-11/4


In their first co-producing endeavor, HERE and the Hip-Hop Theater Festival in association with Collective Consciousness Theatre present the world premiere of How to Break, a new play fueled by human beat-boxing, breaking, popping and locking, linguistic flow and multimedia graffiti art. This production will play a limited engagement at HERE from October 18 - November 4, with Official Opening set for Tuesday, October 23 at 7:00pm.

Angela Lansbury Hosts NYC Seniors Community Survey Project


On Friday, October 21, 2011, Angela Lansbury; New York City Council Speaker Christine Quinn; New York City Council Member Gale Brewer; Assembly Member Linda Rosenthal; Assembly Member Richard Gottfried; Congressman Jerrold Nadler and The Actors Fund co-hosted a kick-off event for the Seniors Community Survey, an online survey designed to better understand the quality of life of older New Yorkers in the Clinton/Hell's Kitchen and Chelsea Neighborhoods. The event, held at American Airlines Theatre, marked the beginning of the online survey of seniors 60 years and older who reside in the zip codes of 10001, 10011, 10018, 10019, 10036 on Manhattan's West Side. Findings of the survey, being conducted from mid-October through December 31, 2011, are intended to help provide information concerning seniors' needs, identify gaps in senior services and help community leaders organize and advocate for resources and services for seniors in these neighborhoods.
