Red Branch Theatre Company (RBTC) will kick off its 2015 season entitled Coming of Age with the TONY Award-winning alt-rock musical, Spring Awakening. The production will run at Drama Learning Center, where Red Branch is the theatre in residence, from tonight, April 17 - May 2, 2015. Various special events will occur in conjunction with the run.

Casting has just been completed for the season opening performance at Howard County's newest professional theatre. The production will run at Drama Learning Center, where Red Branch is the theatre in residence, from April 17 - May 2, 2015. Post-show talkbacks on a range of related topics and other special events are in the midst of being solidified.

Wendy Baird's cabaret 'Stumbling On Happiness II' will be presented at Red Branch Theatre Company as the third evening in its four-part summer cabaret series. There are touching songs of love and loss, songs that transform our mood in an instant, songs that make us smile and those we swear shaped the people that we have become. Wendy Baird will stumble on happiness by sharing some of her favorite standards, contemporary show tunes, and light-hearted romps. It will be a fun evening of song and patter, poignancy and humor sure to entertain, provoke and inspire. Brad Hunter will join her on piano, Al Hannagan on guitar, as well as some other very special musical guests yet to be announced.

Devron T. Young will open the summer cabaret series on July 13th with his musical evening entitled 'One Night Only.' The cabaret loosely chronicles pivotal moments in the performer's life through song and spoken word. Red Branch Managing Director Tiffany Underwood Holmes will accompany Mr. Young on the keyboard, and surprise special guests will join him on stage for select numbers. The program includes, but is not limited to songs such as 'Maybe' from Annie, 'God Bless the Child,' 'Memories of You' by Eubie Blake, 'Family' and 'One Night Only' from Dreamgirls, and many more.

Red Branch Theatre Company will hold its first series of one-night only cabaret performances this summer at Drama Learning Center in Columbia, MD. Each cabaret will consist of a solo or group headliner that regales audiences with a themed evening of songs and stories in a cabaret setting. Food and beverage will be available for sale before the show each night and during intermission. A cash bar will also be available for select performances.
