BIO
Thomas Schultheis is a Broadway veteran and award-winning teaching artist dedicated to fostering authentic connection and individual uniqueness through the arts. A veteran of the Broadway revival of Grease! Thomas also appeared in the national and international tours of Chicago, Smokey Joe’s Cafe, and South Pacific. As a choreographer for over 30 years, his credits span off-Broadway original works with the cast of [title of show] to productions for dozens of universities and high schools.
Currently, Thomas is the creator and developer of EXTRACURRICULAR, an original immersive musical experience designed for high schools, which has held successful developmental workshops in Louisiana and Virginia, with an upcoming production in California. His extensive background in arts leadership includes 15 years with The Walt Disney Company, where he served as a Sales Manager for Disney Performing Arts and pioneered initiatives such as the Disney Performing Arts Conservatory and the Educators Summit: Inspiring Brilliance.
A leader in arts education, Thomas is a Teaching Artist with Disney Imagination Campus (teaching Disney Broadway Magic and Dance Disney) and Dramatic Results®, where he integrates STEM and Social-Emotional Learning. He serves on the board of the California Educational Theatre Association and the creative team for Musical Theatre Competitions of America, where he develops forward-thinking workshops like TikTok Musicals: Exploration & Activation.
Thomas holds a Master of Arts in Strategic Communications from National University and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from James Madison University. In addition to his theatrical career, Thomas and his husband, Michael, are passionate advocates for the foster care community; they were honored with the Let Love Define Family Award by RaiseAChild and recognized as Outstanding ISFC Resource Parents for Los Angeles County. They have 3 sons: Elijah, Dominic, and Joseph.
