TV: David Shiner Brings 'KOOZA' to Life


David's first formal association with Cirque du Soleil came in 1990, when he performed in Nouvelle Expérience, touring for 19 months throughout Canada and the USA and playing for another year in Las Vegas. Thanks to such antics as stepping through, on and over much of the audience and his classic improv-based staging of a mock silent-movie melodrama with four members of the audience, he is probably the best-remembered of Cirque's clowns.

The new Broadway-bound musical comedy Lone Star Love, starring Academy-Award nominee Randy Quaid in his Broadway debut as Colonel John Falstaff, has its official Seattle opening Wednesday, September 19 at The 5th Avenue Theatre. The show continues its run in Seattle through September 30, and will open for previews at New York's Belasco Theatre on November 1; opening night on Broadway is December 3.
