WPalm Canyon Theatre (PCT) and Del Shores have a long, strong bond with each other. His sidewalk star is even strategically placed in front of the theatre. It seems that every year PCT produces one of his plays, frequently Sordid Lives. This year they are presenting Daddy’s Dyin’, Who’s Got the Will?, his second play which was first produced in 1990.  I’ve known the title for years – it’s the sort of title you don’t soon forget – but this is the first time I have seen it produced.  I personally think it is a better structured play than the more popular Sordid Lives, and the opening night audience at PCT howled with laughter from the very first entrance.hat did our critic think of DADDY'S DYIN', WHO'S GOT THE WILL? at Palm Canyon Theatre?

What did our critic think of THE SCARLET PIMPERNEL at Palm Canyon Theatre? Palm Canyon Theatre has taken some risks this season by offering a season of lesser-known shows, but their decision seems to be paying off. I know that my first-ever viewing of Titanic will last with me a long time, and their current production, The Scarlet Pimpernel, stacks up very close. It is definitely worth seeing - and especially hearing. The voices of the three leads would be comfortable in any concert hall in the world, and hearing them in PCT's relatively small auditorium is a rare treat.

It’s hard to imagine a more perfect holiday show than Sound of Music, and Palm Canyon Theatre’s current production of the Rogers and Hammerstein musical should come complete with a large gift bow!

J.J. Abrams (Star Wars: The Force Awakens), BBC Studios' Angie Stephenson and Bad Robot's Ben Stephenson also serve as executive producers. Jim Field Smith (EPISODES) is also executive producing and directing the pilot, which is based on the BBC series created by Corden and Baynton. The announcement was made today by Gary Levine, President of Programming, Showtime Networks Inc.

Comcast and Netflix today announced an expansion of their partnership that will provide Comcast the ability to include a Netflix subscription in new and existing Xfinity packages. In 2016, Comcast launched Netflix on the X1 platform, offering customers a fully integrated entertainment experience featuring voice control and seamless access to the Netflix service. Straight out of training at the Palm Canyon Theatre's Summer Kids Camp, about 30 talented young actors, as well as company members and professionals will come together to bring the English musical Oliver! to the stage in Palm Springs. Winner of the Tony Award for Best Original Score, Lionel Bart wrote the Oliver! music and lyrics based on the classic Charles Dickens novel Oliver Twist.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art's new, completely redesigned David H. Koch Plaza will officially open to the public on today, September 10, after a major two-year reconstruction effort. The massive outdoor space—which runs along Fifth Avenue for four city blocks, the entire length of the Museum's landmark façade—now features completely new fountains, paving, lighting, allées and bosques of trees leading to the Museum's entrances from north and south, and seating areas for visitors.
