EELS Announces U.S. and European Tour
Continuing the celebration of the release of their latest album The Deconstruction, EELSwill tour across the U.S. this spring, with a headline run kicking off April 21 in Boulder, CO with further shows in Minneapolis, Boston, Chicago, New York, Nashville and more. Capping off a triumphant North American headline run with a performance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, (watch below) EELS will begin their European tour onJune 17 at the Mayfeld Derby Festival in Mannheim, Germany. Watch/share the official video for EELS' song “Bone Dry” off of their new album The Deconstruction, out today on E Works/[PIAS]. The stop-motion video was produced by Starburns Industries' Duke Johnson and Dino Stamatopoulos, the team behind Charlie Kaufman's Anomalisa, and directed by Sofia Astrom, who noted, “E really liked Duke Johnson's idea of dancing skeletons for “Bone Dry.” My co-producer and art director Tony Candelaria and I knew that we needed the best skeleton animator in the world, so we brought in Anthony Scotts (Nightmare Before Christmas, Corpse Bride) to help us make E's skeletons come to life.”

The 5th Avenue Theatre presents a singing and dancing spectacular not to be missed: Lionel Bart's beloved classic, Oliver!, the holiday treat that will have audiences saying 'Please sir, I want some more.' The iconic musical returns to the celebrated 5th Avenue stage for the first time in 20 years, and will feature stunning costumes, dazzling sets, and a massive local cast of 66 (including 36 youngsters), singing and dancing their way through the streets and alleys of Victorian London. Based on the classicCharles Dickens novel, Oliver! is filled with memorable tunes including 'Who Will Buy?', 'I'd Do Anything,' and 'As Long As He Needs Me.' Oliver! features direction by David Armstrong and will starDavid Pichette as Fagin, Grayson Smith as the Artful Dodger, Hans Altwies as Bill Sikes, andMerideth Kaye Clark as Nancy. Oliver Twist will be played by Jack Fleischmann and Mark Jeffrey James Weber at alternating performances.

On tonight's episode of NBC's HARRY'S LAW entitled, 'Purple Hearts', Harry (Kathy Bates), Oliver (Mark Valley) and Cassie (Karen Olivo) struggle to defend their client, a mother who stands accused of killing her infant son who suffered from a debilitating disorder with no hope for a cure. Meanwhile, Tommy (Christopher McDonald) and Adam (Nate Corddry) represent a former-soldier-turned-clown who, after suffering a minor traumatic brain injury in the Iraq War, was deemed ineligible for a Purple Heart. In the holiday spirit, Tommy and Adam try to get the veteran the recognition he deserves.
