Luminato Festival Toronto announces Olivia Ansell as the new Artistic Director. Ansell, an accomplished arts curator, will present her inaugural festival program in June 2025.

The $3-million, five-year campaign championing women in front of and behind the camera ramps up ahead of Festival season, reaffirming the organization's commitment to providing practical support for women and its efforts to help shift the dial across equity in the film industry.

TIFF announced today that award-winning actor and activist Priyanka Choprawill be the guest of honour at TIFF Soirée, an annual fundraiser this year organized in support of Share Her Journey, a recently launched campaign to support female voices in screen industries.

Actor Michael Fassbender was honored last night at the 2016 Toronto International Film Festival Soiree held at the TIFF Bell Lightbox.
