Puzzle Piece Theatre stormed into Detroit's theatre scene less than two years ago, bringing with it a clear vision of art as catalyst for conversation. Exploring themes of indifference to human suffering, suicide, and love in times of war rounded out their first season. Season two starts out just as provocatively, with Producing Artistic Director DB Schroder bringing issues of race, prejudice and white privilege to the forefront with White People, a play written by JT Rogers.

WHITE PEOPLE by J.T. Rogers will be presented by Pegasus Theatre as a Churchmouse production at the Bath House Cultural Center today, May 8 - May 25, 2014. WHITE PEOPLE will be directed by Chad Cline and the cast includes Jack O'Donnell as Martin, Charissa Lee as Mara Lynn, and Jason Folks as Alan. Churchmouse Productions is the non-black and white arm of Pegasus Theatre. The plays selected for Churchmouse are generally riskier, edgier, contemporary fare and WHITE PEOPLE certainly meets those objectives.

WHITE PEOPLE is very well worthwhile for anyone who thinks that gaining insight into personal ideas and values is a mission of theatre. You won't leave this production the same person as when you entered. This is compelling theater!
