Kondwani Phiri

Kondwani Phiri is a Zambian actor whose work spans television, film, and stage. He made his professional stage debut as Mark in the world-premiere production of Purple Rain. His television credits include Netflix’s Emmy-winning series BEEF, Paramount+’s 1923, Showtime’s American Gigolo, HBO’s Insecure, ABC’s The Rookie, and FOX’s 9-1-1.

Born in Zambia and raised in East Lansing, Michigan, Kondwani studied biochemistry and mathematics at Brown University before pursuing acting professionally. He is a proud SAG-AFTRA member and is passionate about expanding African representation in Western film, television, and theatre.
