As BroadwayWorld reported last week, Chasing Rainbows: The Road to Oz, a new Broadway-bound musical about the early life of Judy Garland, from her vaudeville sister act through her rise at MGM to win the role of Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz, just had an industry presentation in New York City. The musical has reportedly earned the approval of one very important guest, Liza Minnelli. She told Deadline:

Theatergoers at the Fox Performing Arts Center (Fox PAC) in Riverside, California, had the pleasure of watching the hilarious FORBIDDEN BROADWAY revue. The audience laughed uproariously at the onstage antics, which consist of skewering Broadway's musical hits and stars.

The readings, also directed by Phillip George, will take place on Monday, October 11th at 6:00pm, and Tuesday, October 12th at 3:00pm and 7:00pm, at Ripley-Grier Studios, 520 Eighth Avenue (10th Floor).
