The South Carolina New Play Festival has announced casting for A Black-billed Cuckoo by Mat Smart, KWEEN by Vichet Chum, The Essential Alice by Michael Friedman and Annie Weisman and Catching the Moon, The Story of A Young Girl's Baseball Dream by Nichole Jackson and Tyrone L. Robinson.

The Guthrie Theater has announced the return of its summer acting program, A Guthrie Experience, following a four-year hiatus. Founded in 1997 under the leadership of Kenneth Washington, A Guthrie Experience brings M.F.A. actors from around the country to the Twin Cities for a seven-week intensive and performance experience.

The five-time Tony Award®-nominated Broadway musical smash ROCK OF AGES tells the story of a small-town girl, a city boy, and a rock 'n' roll romance on the Sunset Strip. But when the bar where rock reigns supreme is set to be demolished, it's up to these wannabe rockers and their band of friends to save the day - and the music. 

The John W. Engeman Theater presents ROCK OF AGES. Performances began on Thursday, January 27, 2022, and run through Sunday, March 13, 2022. 

Michael Hanna plays middle son Geoffrey in James Goldman's tale of a king and his family on the eve of Christmas that's a complete change from the happy holiday show across the building. THE LION IN WINTER plays through Dec. 31.
