Kirsten Vangsness has a most fertile imagination. Her creation, a new play called Cleo, Theo & Wu, is a wild and crazy spaceship-ride through the annals of time as a way for her character Lucy to empower her own life back on earth. The World Premiere, Directed by Lisa Dring, and written by Kirsten Vangsness is a verbal wonderland of dialogue that is smart, funny, poignant and immensely clever and fast-paced.

Theatre of NOTEcompletes its 2017-2018 season with the World Premiere of CLEO, THEO & WU, written by Kirsten Vangsness and directed by Lisa Dring. CLEO, THEO & WU will preview Friday and Saturday, October 26 and 27 at 8pm, and will open on Thursday, November 1 at 8pm and run through Saturday, December 8 at Theatre of NOTE, 1517 N Cahuenga Blvd (just north of Sunset) in Hollywood.

Theatre of NOTE announces its production of Alternative Acts, an evening of 7 one-acts including: Out To Breakfast by Andrew Tarr, Benefits of a Gauntlet by Gina Garcia-Sharp, Sandwich by Kirsten Vangsness, Mr. Picmanby Tom Cavanaugh, Youniverse by Tennyson E. Stead, VladFather by Jennifer Hugus and Transitions by Bill Robens. Alternative Actswill open on Friday, August 25 at 10pm and run through Saturday, September 16 at Theatre of NOTE, 1517 N Cahuenga Blvd (just north of Sunset) in Hollywood. Evening will begin with live music, food and drink.

The 2003 film Calendar Girls was produced in the US with a British cast starring Helen Mirren and Julie Walters. It is a delightful comedy and a sweet ode to women, who, dissatisfied with many lifestyle choices, try quite earnestly to raise the bar. In 2008 it was made into a play and has been a best seller in the UK, probably because it takes place in and pays homage to Yorkshire. Now under Larry Eisenberg's keen and caring direction, Calendar Girls, rarely produced in the US, has a sturdy production with a sterling cast at Group rep in NoHo through October 9.

The Group Rep presents Tim Firth's comedy CALENDAR GIRLS, based on the motion picture by Juliette Towhidi and Firth, directed by Larry Eisenberg, and produced for the Group Rep by Drina Durazo. The show runs tonight, August 26, through October 9, 2016, and BroadwayWorld has a first look at the cast in action below!
