Jack Wilfred McAdam

Jack McAdam is one of Canada's prominent Production Designer. He has created set designs for television, theatre, film and theme parks in Norway, Finland, Germany, Italy, Hong Kong, India, Malta, South Africa, the United States and Canada. He began his professional career at the Design Department of the Canadian Broadcasting Network in Toronto. After ten years he resigned and opened his own company Design Service Associates. He was both a designer and a consultant for six years with the CTV Network, before moving to California. Jack has lived and worked for twenty-four years in Los Angeles in the Entertainment Industry as a Designer, Producer and Writer. He is also an architect for Monolithic Domed Sound Stages. During that period, Jack was a founding member of the Writer?s Group with the Academy of Arts and Sciences in Hollywood. He received an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Writing in a Children?s Series on PBS. He has lectured on screenwriting and producing at the University of California, Los Angeles, Loyola Marymount University, the University of Malta, the Cinema People's Academy in Mumbai, India. Jack has presented two summer writing seminars at the prestigious International Film and Television Academy in Muelheim, Germany. Memberships: The Director's Guild of America and the Producers Association. In 2008 his book: "The Art of Storytelling for Dramatic Screenplays," was published with a worldwide distribution.
