As part of its Pride Month celebration, Theatre at St. John's and Daniel Neiden Productions are excited to present a new play that interweaves stories of faith and self-discovery.

On March 15, the majority party in Venezuela gave President Nicolas Maduro the power to temporarily govern Venezuela by decree, thanks to a law described by opposition activists as a measure to cover up the government's weaknesses and to subjugate the Venezuelan people. It is the second time Maduro has been given such powers and the late populist Hugo Chavez, Maduro's mentor and predecessor, ruled by fiat four times in his 14-year tenure. In her modern tragedy 'Golondrinas (Swallows),' Venezuelan expatriate playwright/director/actor Aminta De Lara likens the nation's acquiescence to the submissiveness of a family to a dominating and abusive father. De Lara will direct the piece, in a translation by Francine Jacome, at La MaMa tonight, April 16 to 26. Scroll down for a look at him onstage!

Sinteatro Intimus will present AT THE END OF THE CENTURY, written & directed by Aminta DeLara, from February 20 through March 9, 2014, at Teatro LATEA. Lorraine Rodriguez-Reyes is Associate Producer.

Snapped Productions presents William Shakespeare's classic comedy Much Ado About Nothing. Gregory Couba directs a diverse cast, including Howard Collado, Jon Dalin, Jeffrey Delano Davis, Ann Gulian, Matt Kelley, Mary-Rose Mack, Norihito Moriya, Keith R. Oliver, Al-nisa Petty, Robby Ramos, Priyank Rastogi, Donny Repsher, Jon Adam Ross, Goncalo Ruivo, Caleb Schaaf, Peter Van Derick, Gary Warchola and Tina Ward. Much Ado About Nothing will run at the 133rd Street Arts Center, 308 West 133rd Street in Harlem, New York City for 16 performances, February 14-March 2, 2013.

Attending the 13th Annual Hispanic Organization of Latin Actors (HOLA) Awards presented by Delta Air Lines tonight, October 8, 2012 will be SAG-AFTRA elected leadership reps that include national SAG-AFTRA Co- President, Roberta Reardon and national SAG-AFTRA Co-Treasurer and Co-Secretary, Amy Aquino. Also joining the celebration will be Tony Plana, Tony Shalhoub, Brooke Adams and CNN's Jane Vélez-Mitchell. A special tribute to the late Lupe Ontiveros will be given by Latin Heat Editor and co-host of 'HOLA L.A.' Bel Hernández. Odalys Molina and Jorge Ramos will serve as the Masters of Ceremonies of this year's HOLA Awards.
