Photo Flash: First Look at QUAINT HONOUR at Finborough Theatre

Presented for the first time since its world premiere in 1958 and celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Sexual Offences Act of 1967, which decriminalised homosexuality in the UK, Quaint Honour by Roger Gellert runs at the Finborough Theatre, playing Sunday and Monday evening and Tuesday matinees from Sunday, 29 October 2017. BWW Review: QUAINT HONOUR, Finborough Theatre

59 years after it first premiered, Roger Gellert's Quaint Honour is revived as part of the fiftieth anniversary of the Sexual Offences Act. In 50s Great Britain, homosexuality is still illegal, but this doesn't deter the boys at boarding school. Following a dare, Tully (Harley Viveash) sets off to seduce one of the younger pupils, Hamilton (Jack Archer). Little did he know his actions would kick off something bigger than headmaster Hallows' (Simon Butteriss) rage.

Julian Glover to Return to Bristol Old Vic in Politically Charged JULIUS CAESAR

Rehearsals begin for the thrilling political tragedy Julius Caesar, directed by Simon Dormandy, in a follow up to last year's ground-breaking collaboration between Bristol Old Vic and Bristol Old Vic Theatre School's graduating students. Performances will play 9 June-1 July 2017, with press night slated for 14 June.
Society of London Theatre Reveals 2016 Laurence Olivier Bursaries

19 students from drama schools across the UK were today awarded £67,500 worth of bursaries by Society of London Theatre (SOLT) in order to help them complete their training. The Clothworkers' Foundation bursary is worth a total of £37,500 over five years with £7,500 awarded to a student annually as part of the Laurence Olivier Bursaries scheme.
