Forrest Lucas, founder and owner of Lucas Oil Products, Inc., MAVTV, Lucas Oil Speedway, and the naming rights to the Indianapolis Colts' Stadium, “Lucas Oil Stadium”, and Ali Afshar, the record-setting professional racecar driver, turned actor, turned movie producer (and now all three at once), have set their sights on the theatrical film distribution business and will begin releasing movies in 2019 under the Forrest Films banner.

Disney is struggling to find its leads for the recently announced live-action remake of its hit 1992 animated film ALADDIN. The site reports that the studio and the film's director Guy Ritchie put out a global casting call back in March in an attempt to find its Aladdin and Jasmine for the project.

The Newport Beach Film Festival (NBFF) announced today the winners of the 2016 Festival. On April 28, 2016, the Festival wrapped up its eight day run with the Southern California premiere of The Fixer starring Dominic Rains, James Franco, Rachel Brosnahan and Melissa Leo at Lido Live (3459 Via Lido, Newport Beach) with the post party in the Via Lido Plaza.
