Francis Kiernan has had a long and diverse career in the performing arts from classical music and dance performance to musical theater production and the In 2002 he choreographed the contemporary ballet interpretation of Kai Nieminen's Usvanhaltia, taking the the lead role in Hymnos. As a classical flautist Kiernan has performed extensively throughout the world as soloist, orchestral and chamber musician, although his home is in musical theater (opera and ballet).
Since 1999 he has produced several orchestral recordings for major labels including Naxos, and has been orchestral manager. He has been Operations Executive of the RTÉ Concert Orchestra (Ireland's National Pops Orchestra). Since moving to the United States in 2009 he has been Executive Director of the Nelson Riddle Foundation and General Manager of the Nelson Riddle Orchestra conducted by Christopher Riddle.
