Last night in New York, Gabrielle's Angel Foundation for Cancer Research hosted the Angel Ball 2018 which raises money for blood cancer research.  The gala, which took place at Cipriani Wall Street, honored Dottie Herman, Douglas Elliman CEO; Monte Lipman, Founder and Chairman of Republic Records, Avery Lipman, Founder and President of Republic Records; and Harvey Spevak, Executive Chairman & Managing Partner, Equinox. 

The Garden of Dreams Foundation is pleased to announce Concert for Dreams, a unique two-part concert experience and the first ever benefit concert in support of the Foundation. The two-part event will include an evening fundraising concert featuring O.A.R. and special guests, Darryl "DMC" McDaniels co-founder of Run-DMC and Garden of Dreams Board member, Gavin DeGraw, Robert Randolph, Adam Duritz of Counting Crows, Nate Ruess of fun., John Rzeznik of Goo Goo Dolls and Matt Nathanson at the Beacon Theatre on Friday, March 23, 2018 at 8:00 p.m.. Tickets for the evening fundraiser on-sale now, with all net proceeds going directly to Garden of Dreams. There will also be a dedicated Garden of Dreams kids concert on Friday, March 23, 2018 at 4:30 p.m. hosted by Elvis Duran of Z100, featuring O.A.R. and all of the evening performers plus Rachel Crow and Grace Vanderwaal. Lineup is subject to change.

Performers from the Young People's Chorus of New York City sing two world premiere works and three special arrangements composed by NEA Jazz Master Delfeayo Marsalis to celebrate Black History Month with Give Your Voice: Honor Black History at the American Museum of Natural History. One of the world premieres, 'Dream on Robben,' was inspired by the life of Nelson Mandela. The group will be joined onstage by hip-hop legend Darryl 'DMC' McDaniels for the second world premiere, 'Melting Pot.' It all takes place today, February 8, 2014 in the LeFrak Theater, American Museum of Natural History, first floor.
