An old-fashioned, splashy musical about a working-class Londoner who discovers he's nobility and a world premiere play about the consequences of bullying received the most nominations in the musical and play categories when the nominations were announced for the 41st annual Carbonell Awards, which honors excellence in theater in South Florida.

Due to popular demand the world premiere of 'Who Killed Joan Crawford' has been extended through February 21. 'Some performances were sold out even before the production opened' said Artistic Director, Andy Rogow. Continuing their sixth season, the award-winning Slow Burn Theatre Company will present the South Florida premiere of the musical Bonnie & Clyde. The production will run from January 22nd through February 8th at the West Boca Performing Arts Theater on the campus of West Boca Raton Community High School on Glades Road, in Boca Raton, and from February 12th through February 15th at the Aventura Arts & Culture Center in Aventura.
