The Recording Academy announced today its newly elected National Officers of the Board of Trustees, voted upon at the organization's annual spring Board of Trustees meeting in May. Record producer Harvey Mason Jr. has been elected as the Chair of the Board of Trustees, and managing partner of Placement Music Tammy Hurt will serve as Vice Chair. Veteran music executive Terry Hemmings was re-elected Secretary/Treasurer and recording artist and founder/CEO of Swan Songs Christine Albert assumes the position of Chair Emeritus. All officer appointments were effective on June 1, 2019.

Chess is coming back to the West End for the first time since 1986, opening at the London Coliseum on Thursday 26 April 2018 (Press night on Tuesday 1 May 2018) for a strictly limited 5 week season. Everton chairman Bill Kenwright will produce a touring production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's LOVE NEVER DIES, to debue at the Churchhill Theatre, Bromley in January, 2013, according to rumours posted on WhatsOnStage.com.

Flanigen from Nashville was re-elected to a second term as Chair; recording artist Christine Albert from Texas was elected Vice Chair; engineer/producer Glenn Lorbecki from the Pacific Northwest continues for a second term as Secretary/Treasurer; and five-time GRAMMY® winner Jimmy Jam from Los Angeles was re-elected for a second term as Chair Emeritus.

Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical LOVE NEVER DIES will close on 27 August 2011. The production had recently announced that bookings were open through January 2012. The musical opened at the Adelphi Theatre 9th March 2010, with previews from 20th Feb and closed down briefly last winter for a set of changes.
