Robert Hastie, Artistic Director of Sheffield Theatres, has announced that the venue previously known as the Studio theatre will now be named the Tanya Moiseiwitsch Playhouse in honour of the hugely influential theatre designer that had an essential role in the creation of the Crucible complex. 

Daniel (James Lance) and Oliver (Joshua Silver) are the picture of a happy gay marriage. Now, they're about to have their first baby with their closest friend Priya (Chetna Pandya) acting as a surrogate. Chris Thompson's Of Kith and Kin, which premiered at Crucible Sheffield last month, is a powerful and touching play that questions family values, parenthood, masculinity, and the subtle effects of abuse.

Chris Thompson's new play offers a witty and cutting take on the meaning of family, performed by an excellent cast.

Casting is announced today for two new plays as part of the Bush Theatre's Autumn Winter season by Sophie Wu (Ramona Tells Jim) and Chris Thompson (Of Kith and Kin).

Artistic Director of Sheffield Theatres Robert Hastie today announced casting for three productions in his inaugural season - Of Kith and Kin, Desire Under the Elms and Uncle Vanya.

Joining Paul Bhattacharjee and Meera Syal as the sparring lovers Benedick and Beatrice is a stellar cast of British Asian actors including Amara Karan as the wronged young lover Hero, Kulvinder Ghir as Borachio and Madhav Sharma as Leonto.
