Southern Halo has teamed with FriendlySky to launch a four-part virtual concert series, HANGIN WITH HALO. The first show will stream LIVE this Friday, May 22, from the Donelson Room at Cotton House, Cleveland, Mississippi at 7 p.m. CT. The duo is the first Country act to use the FriendlySky platform.

The National Theatre of Great Britain's critically-acclaimed 2007 stage production of 'War Horse,' which inspired Steven Spielberg's 2011 war drama film of the same name, extends its limited engagement at the Lyric Theatre, Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (1 Gloucester Road, Wan Chai). Tickets to the performances from May 10 to June 2, 2019, are now on sale at HKTicketing.com.

Submissions are now open for the largest and longest-running comedy pitch program, the 10th annual Just For Laughs' Stand Up & Pitch in Montreal. CBC Comedy, Project 10 Productions and Tubefilter return as presenters of this unique program, running from July 24-27, 2019 during ComedyPRO, Just For Laughs' elite comedy industry conference.

Award-winning author Michael Morpurgo will read his heart-breaking War Horse live at Edinburgh's Usher Hall on Sunday 18 November as part of the venue's Sunday Classics series. He will be joined by co-narrator, the BAFTA Award nominee and much-loved English actress Juliet Stevenson. Alongside the narration will be specially composed music performed by the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, and live drawing by acclaimed artist Rae Smith. Vocal soloist Ben Murray will also join, following his own appearance in the National Theatre's production of War Horse.

Programming runs July 12-Aug.10 and includes a Thursday evening Family Movie Series, the Thursday evening WDCB Live Jazz Concert Series and a Friday evening Pop Music Series. One of the highlights of the Friday evening series promises to be the July 20 New Philharmonic pops concert, which will be broadcast on Facebook Live for the second year in a row. Following the highly successful 2016 edition, Noh Reimagined is returning to Kings Place with an exciting new theme and line-up. The two-day festival explores the art of Noh, the iconic theatrical tradition that originated in fourteenth-century Japan. This edition will shed light on the unique dramaturgy of Mugen ('phantasmal') Noh, in which the main actor (shite) appears as a ghost in the dream of a travelling monk performed by the supporting actor (waki). The ghost then tells the tragic story of its past life, expressing deep regret and lamentations, hoping to find peace.

The Independent Filmmaker Project (IFP) and Tubefilter join CBC Comedy, Project 10 Productions and Some Spider Studios as program partners for Stand Up & Pitch '18, the comedy industry's largest and longest running pitch program. The announcement was made today by Just For Laughs ComedyPRO. Now in its seventh year, Stand Up & Pitch takes place July 25 - 28, 2018 during key industry dates of the Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal.

Fourteen talented young musical theatre artists have landed roles in the Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize winning musical, RENT, to be presented by Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC) and Matt Ward Entertainment, from 2 May 2018.
