Coachella Valley Rep to Renovate Cinema into Carol Channing Playhouse
The Desert Sun has announced that Coachella Valley Repertory has purchased the UltraStar Desert Cinemas and has plans to renovate the property into a live theatre venue. The venue will be named the Carol Channing Playhouse.

CVRep is a not-for-profit professional theatre company. It is the only theatre in the Coachella Valley that has Small Professional Theatre (SPT) status with Actors' Equity.
CVRep is an educational, dramatic and musical theatre organization whose mission is to present thought-provoking, innovative theater of substance, and outreach programs that enrich enhance and impact the quality of life for residents and visitors in the Coachella Valley.
