A young actor moves in with two aging farmers to gather stories about rural life for a play. His attempts to fit into farm life amuse the farmers, and the audience, until the line between truth and fiction is crossed, and the lives of all three men are altered. Winner of the 1999 Governor General’s Literary Award for English-language drama.
