Directed By Lisa Horner (Come From Away, IKEA lady, Tweed & Co’s The Lion of Oz) *Tony Winning Best Book of a MUSICAL “Riotously funny…Zinger filled Musical” - The New York Times Are you ready to experience your new favourite show? Winner of the Tony and Drama Desk Awards, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee is a fast-paced, wildly funny and touching show, and this bee is one unforgettable experience. An eclectic group of six mid-pubescents vie for the spelling championship of a lifetime. While candidly disclosing hilarious and touching stories from their home lives, the tweens spell their way through a series of (potentially made-up) words, hoping never to hear the soul-crushing, pout-inducing, life un-affirming "ding" of the bell that signals a spelling mistake. Six spellers enter; one speller leaves a champion! At least the losers get a juice box. And who knows…you may even be called up to join the bee! A riotous ride, complete with audience participation, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee is a delightful den of comedic genius. It's a fast-paced crowd pleaser and an instant theatre patron favourite. Book early for best seats and watch for info on how you can join the bee! The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee is presented by special arrangement with Musical Theatre International (MTI). All authorized performance materials are also supplied by MTI. www.mtishows.com **This show is Rated PG-13 and does contain some mature content and themes.
