Mister Wolf, are you there?
Three acrobats/actors/clowns take the stage to create three funny and appealing characters: Miss Black, Miss Blond and Mister Chestnut, students with very different personalities who are jointly giving a rather exuberant oral presentation.
Their topic: the big bad wolf in classic fairy tales. As they discuss Little Red Riding Hood, The Three Little Pigs and The Wolf and the Seven Kids, they get a little carried away, and the wolf starts popping up in places he’s never been seen before. Their outlandish account becomes a frantic “theme and variations” on the snarling beast, and they get completely sidetracked and tangled up. Yes, Mister Wolf is there—in fact he’s everywhere, but in the end the audience’s laughter is the common thread that runs through the show.
Scriptwriter and director Jacqueline Gosselin skilfully combines shadow play, dance, singing and clowning to deliver a highly visual and entertaining production.
