Ottawa Little Theatre is stepping into its 114th season with a lineup that feels like a treasure chest cracked open. It has classics, comedy, mystery, heartbreak, Victorian chills, and holiday nostalgia on the 2027 agenda. If you’ve ever wanted a season that truly has something for everyone, OLT is about to spoil you.

  • Little Women - February 24 to March 13, 2027: Kate Hamill’s celebrated adaptation of the Louisa May Alcott classic brings the March sisters roaring onto the stage with heart, humour, and modern spark. Expect a fresh, fast-paced take on the beloved classic; one that honours the original’s warmth while giving it a theatrical jolt of energy.OLT 2027 Season Poster
  • The 39 Steps - March 31 to April 17, 2027: Hitchcock meets hilarity in this madcap comedy-thriller where chase scenes, disguises, and theatrical chaos collide in a show that’s equal parts spy adventure and laugh-out-loud spectacle.
  • The Last Wife - May 5 to 22, 2027: Katherine Parr steps out of the history books and into the spotlight in Kate Hennig’s sharp, contemporary drama. Power, survival, and ambition simmer in Henry VIII’s court but, this time, the queen gets the final word.
  • Go Back for Murder - June 9 to 26, 2027: Agatha Christie delivers another delicious puzzle: a decades-old murder, a daughter determined to uncover the truth, and a cast of suspects with secrets stitched into every line. Expect twists, turns, and that signature Christie satisfaction.
  • Where You Are - July 14 to 31, 2027: A Canadian play set in Northern Ontario, Kristen DaSilva’s comedy-drama blends family, friendship, grief, and second chances. It’s warm, witty, and full of heart; a perfect summer show that will leaves audiences smiling long after they’ve left the theatre.
  • Rabbit Hole - August 18 to September 4, 2027: David Lindsay-Abaire’s Pulitzer Prize-winning drama is a raw, beautiful exploration of grief and healing. It’s intimate, honest, and deeply human. This is another show that percolates after the curtain falls.
  • Lord Arthur Savile’s Crime - September 22 to October 9, 2027: Oscar Wilde’s wicked humour fuels this outrageous comedy of fate, fortune-telling, and murder attempts gone spectacularly wrong. Expect absurdity, satire, and a parade of comedic misadventures.
  • Terror by Gaslight - October 27 to November 13, 2027: This Victorian thriller serves up murder, blackmail, shadowy secrets, with a gothic atmosphere thick enough to taste. And it is perfectly timed for spooky season!
  • It’s a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play - December 1 to 18, 2027: A holiday classic reimagined as a 1940s radio broadcast, including live sound effects, music, and the nostalgic charm of old-time storytelling. It’s warm, hopeful, and a heartwarming way to get into a festive mood.

With nine shows spanning literature, comedy, mystery, and drama, OLT’s 114th season promises a year of theatre that entertains, surprises, and delights.
