Great Canadian Theatre Company and A Company of Fools are seriously clowning around.

Pomme and 'Restes: Shipwrecked! On the Tempestuous Lost Island of Never is a rollicking comedy driven by Ottawa's dynamic clowning duo Pomme Frites and 'Restes (a.k.a. Scott Florence and Margo MacDonald). This wild comedy gives the clowns free rein to celebrate the holidays in their own unique way. Along the way, they collect a cruise ship, magician, pirates, fairies, a famous Canadian and even some talking vegetables. This is knockdown, drag'em out silliness for the whole family. Directed by AL Connors and written by AL Connors, Scott Florence and Margo MacDonald. Tickets are on sale now at GCTC's Box Office at 1233 Wellington West at Holland, 613-236-5196 or www.gctc.ca.

"This show is created and driven by our favourite clowns, Pomme and 'Restes. It brings adventure, romance and magic to life at a reckless pace. This is the perfect Ottawa outing for families, "says Eric Coates, GCTC's Artistic Director.

About the play: Ottawa's A Company of Fools are back! In their latest comic escapade, the clowns, Pomme and 'Restes are creating mayhem on a cruise ship when it runs aground on a desert island. They discover their new enclave is home to a variety of famous island characters. Will the clowns escape the clutches of the evil Captain Hook? Will they join Anne of Green Gables to build a new civilization on the Lost Island of Never? Or will they be boiled alive in Prospero's clown cauldron? The answer lies in the magic of the island.

Tickets and subscriptions are on sale now at the GCTC Box Office - 613-236-5196, 1233 Wellington St. West (at Holland) and online. www.gctc.ca
