Theatre South Playhouse Produces BE MORE CHILL
Theatre South Playhouse of Orlando announces it's production and auditions for "BE MORE CHILL" the hit Off-Broadway musical that is heading to Broadway this February 2019. Theatre South Playhouse is amongst the very few Theatre Companies able to hold licensing for the show now that it's Broadway bound. Executive Director Hillary Brook tell us, "Our teens have been begging us to do the show since the soundtrack first came out in 2015. We grabbed the rights last spring not knowing that the show would get so incredibly popular and head to Broadway."
With Auditions set for this Saturday the 15th, the theater has an all time record for audition sign-ups. The Theater's Musical Director Robby Stamper and Director Hillary Brook are specifically looking for strong male teens to head up their strong ensemble cast.
Be More Chill is a high school sci-fi musical with music and lyrics by Joe Iconis and book by Joe Tracz, After a 2015 regional theatre production, the musical premiered Off-Broadway in 2018. The Broadway production is scheduled for 2019. Theatre South's production will take place the first 2 weekends of March. The local Orlando Theater holds 99 seats and sells out most performances, so grab your tickets fast.
