Theatre A La Carte Presents ON THE TWENTIETH CENTURY July 16 through 25.

The show tells the story of Oscar Jaffee, a flamboyant theatrical impresario, and his attempts to persuade a film star to appear in his next production and to outwit rival producers and creditors while getting rid of a religious nut and the film star's boyfriend. And he must do all this before the 20th Century Ltd.-the ultimate luxury train-reaches NYC!

The show features a book and lyrics by Betty Comden and Adolph Green and music by Cy Coleman. The original 1978 Broadway production won 5 Tony Awards including Best Book, Best Score, Best Actor John Cullum, Best Featured Actor Kevin Kline and Best Scenic Design. The show was also nominated for 4 additional Tonys including Best Musical, Best Actress Madeline Kahn, Best Features Actress Imogene Coca and Best Direction of a Musical Harold Prince.

Casting has yet to be announced.
