Mad Cow Theatre's OUTSIDE MULLINGAR Opens Tonight

Mad Cow Theatre is delighted to announce the cast for the romantic comedy OUTSIDE MULLINGAR by John Patrick Shanley. OUTSIDE MULLINGAR opens tonight, Feb. 19, 2016, in the Zehngebot-Stonerock Theatre at Mad Cow Theatre in downtown Orlando.

Set in the Irish countryside, OUTSIDE MULLINGAR is a soft-hearted valentine about two misfit farmers, Anthony and Rosemary, who learn to set aside their misapprehensions and discover that love is always worth the wait.

Playwright John Patrick Shanley, who won both the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award for his popular drama Doubt, also won an Oscar for his screenplay for the movie Moonstruck.

The New York Times called OUTSIDE MULLINGAR "Shanley's finest work since Doubt," while Variety wrote that "John Patrick Shanley has not written a more beautiful or loving play than OUTSIDE MULLINGAR."

The cast of OUTSIDE MULLINGAR features four actors who are new to the Mad Cow stage: Jack Wefso as Anthony Reilly, Scott Stoney* as Tony Reilly, Gemma Victoria as Rosemary Muldoon and Kate Young* as Aoife Muldoon.

Director Aradhana Tiwari (The Secret Garden, Tribes), is resident director at Mad Cow Theatre.

OUTSIDE MULLINGAR runs from Feb. 19-Mar. 20, 2016 in the Zehngebot-Stonerock Theatre at Mad Cow Theatre, 54 West Church Street (second floor) in downtown Orlando (Click here for directions). All performances begin at 8 p.m. on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays and at 3 p.m. on Sundays, with an additional performance at 3 p.m. Saturday Feb. 27 and a pay-what-you-wish performance at 8 p.m. Wednesday Mar. 16.

Opening Night is at 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 19. This performance will be followed by Mad Cow's traditional champagne reception in the lobby. Preview Performances are at 8 p.m. Feb. 17 & 18. A Saturday matinee has been added for each show this season. The Saturday matinee for OUTSIDE MULLINGAR will be at 3 p.m. Feb. 27. All drinks will be half-price at the bar. Talkbacks take place after each Thursday and Sunday performance.

Talkbacks are free to audience members, and the public may attend at no extra cost. Adult tickets are $38. Preview tickets are $15.
