Mad Cow Theater Announces Headliners For Orlando Cabaret Fest 5/1-5/17

Christine Andreas (May 1-3) Christine Andreas is back on the Cabaret Stage after receiving nation-wide raves starring as Margaret Johnson in the national tour of the Tony Award winning musical, The Light In The Piazza. She will be the opening Headliner of this year's Orlando Cabaret Festival, playing four fabulous shows!

A 2-time Tony Nominee and one of the great ladies of Cabaret, Christine is best known for her work on the Broadway stage. Ms. Andreas burst onto the New York theatre scene starring as Eliza Doolittle in the 20th Anniversary production of My Fair Lady and created the role of Marguerite St. Just on Broadway in the original production of The Scarlet Pimpernel opposite Douglas Sills and Terrence Mann. Engagements in New York at the Café Carlyle and the Algonquin's Oak Room prompted the New York Times to extol: "The Carlyle has selected the most obvious candidate from the next generation of Broadway sopranos .... she delicately kills with the sheer beauty of her voice."

Andrea Marcovicci (May 7-10) - The Queen of Cabaret, Andrea Marcovicci, "torch singer, spellbinder, heart-breaker" (People Magazine) will perform 5 extraordinary shows at this year's Orlando Cabaret Festival at Mad Cow Theatre. A Cabaret legend, Andrea Marcovicci has entertained sold-out audiences from coast to coast whenever touring her numerous critically acclaimed shows including the esteemed LICEU Opera House in Barcelona, at Town Hall in New York, and at her Carnegie Hall solo concert . She holds the record for the most seasons ever played at New York's legendary Oak Room of the Algonquin Hotel. The Broadway Boys (May 14-17) - This remarkable 6-man group is made up of veterans of the Broadway productions of Jersey Boys, Mary Poppins, Rent, 42nd Street, Hairspray, and many more! The Broadway Boys is a collection of the hottest male voices currently working on the New York stage. Through their dynamic vocal prowess and redefining arrangements, the Boys add elements of Pop, Funk, Gospel, Jazz, and Folk to show tunes and classic pop songs.
