Laura Hodos to Premiere Solo Cabaret at Winter Park Playhouse

Laura Hodos, regionally and nationally known for outstanding musical theatre and vocal performances, will premiere her newest solo cabaret named [title of cabaret] in The Winter Park Playhouse Spotlight Cabaret Series November 16 and 17. Playhouse Music Director, Christopher Leavy, will accompany on piano.

Recently the recipient of the prestigious Silver Palm Award for outstanding contributions to South Florida theatre, Ms. Hodos has a lengthy and very impressive resume. She is the winner of The New York Times Critic's Choice Award for Best Supporting Actress of 2016 and is a four-time Carbonell Award nominee.

Laura just completed receiving the honor of being a Cabaret Fellow with The Cabaret and Performance Conference at The Eugene O'Neill Theatre Center in Connecticut. She has shared the stage with performance greats such as Tituss Burgess, Andrea McArdle, Faith Prince, Davis Gaines, Maureen McGovern and Jason Robert Brown just to name a few.

Currently you can see Ms. Hodos starring on The Winter Park Playhouse mainstage in their holiday production - A Marvelous Party! The Noel Coward Celebration. She has been a soloist with The Orlando Philharmonic, The Jacksonville Symphony, and The Sarasota Orchestra. Her plentiful musical theatre credits include productions in cities all over the nation and a concentration of work with national productions and regional professional theatres.

Laura's latest solo cabaret, [title of cabaret], will premiere back home in Central Florida at The Winter Park Playhouse where she has performed to sold out audiences for years. The evening will include a mix of show stopping musical theatre showtunes, some country and western hits and some surprises for the audience!

General admission tickets are $20 plus a one drink minimum. Once sold out, a limited number of "Standing Room Only" tickets are available for $10. Seating is limited so advance reservations are strongly recommended. Doors open at 6:30p.m. for a 7:30p.m. show.
