Laura Hodos Debuts Solo Cabaret At WP Playhouse in November

The ever popular Laura Hodos will take the cabaret stage to premiere her latest solo cabaret, By The Light Of The Silvery Screen, in The Spotlight Cabaret Series at The Winter Park Playhouse November 7 and 8, 2018 at 7:30 p.m. Playhouse Musical Director, Christopher Leavy, will accompany on piano.

The powerhouse vocals of Ms. Hodos will be featured in a special evening that showcases songs from the Golden Age of the Silver Screen. Laura will pay tribute to songs made famous by the classic great performers of yesteryear - Judy Garland, Shirley Bassey, Barbra Streisand - as well as the studios that made them famous - MGM, Paramount, Disney and more!

Laura Hodos is a nationally acclaimed stage performer. She has a celebrated career as a leading musical theatre actress and an extensive resume that includes receiving the honor of being a Cabaret Fellow with The Cabaret and Performance Conference at The Eugene O'Neill Theatre Center in Connecticut. She has shared the stage with performance greats such as Tituss Burgess, Andrea McArdle, Faith Prince, Davis Gaines, Maureen McGovern and Jason Robert Brown just to name a few.

You may have seen Laura on stage at The Winter Park Playhouse in the 2016 production of A Marvelous Party! The Noel Coward Celebration or in one of her numerous cabaret or Mainstage appearances at The Playhouse in the last decade.

She has been a soloist with The Orlando Philharmonic, The Jacksonville Symphony, and The Sarasota Orchestra. Her plentiful musical theatre credits include productions in cities all over the nation and a concentration of work with national productions and regional professional theatres. Most recently, Ms. Hodos has appeared as Aldonza in Man Of La Mancha at The Orlando Shakes as well as Helen in Fun Home at Mad Cow Theatre.

General admission tickets are $20 plus a one drink minimum. Once sold out, "Standing Room Only" tickets may be purchased for $10. Seating is limited so advance reservations are strongly recommended.
