Unplugged, Asolo Rep's fourth annual festival of new plays, showcases the freshest new talents writing for the theatre today. Presented in a bare-bones staged reading format, audiences have a chance to experience fascinating new works in the earliest stages of their development. Led by Associate Artistic Director and Festival Curator Greg Leaming, Unplugged has given Asolo Rep the opportunity to supplement its season with new works. The highlight of this year's festival is the premiere of the 2011 Greenfield Prize-commissioned work by eminent Tony Award winning playwright John Guare (Six Degrees of Separation, House of Blue Leaves), Eddie in the Andes. Each reading will be followed by a Q&A session with the playwright and the director.
