Snap! Productions will present Emily Mann's EXECUTION OF JUSTIC from March 4 through March 28 at 3225 California Street, Omaha.

In 1982, Emily Mann penned the gripping courtroom drama that explores the trial surrounding the shooting of City Supervisor Harvey Milk and Mayor George Moscone. This trial is considered a landmark court case and ultimately lead to what we now know as the infamous "Twinkie Defense."

Mann has set the play in an interview style. The play mixes both live action and video footage to recreate the feeling and attitudes that prevailed around the time of the trial. EXECUTION OF JUSTIC shows how societal prejudices can shape the outcome of our judicial system.

M. Michele Phillips will direct this drama and is very fortunate to have assembled a cast that includes SNAP! vet¬erans Matt Allen, Jennifer Gilg, Thomas Lowe, Michal Simpson, Scott Fowler, Jerry Evert, Barb Ross, Judy Radcliff, RoBert Williams, Echelle Childers, Mark Cramer, and Stacy Lamb as well as talented and professional newcomers to the SNAP! stage - Josh Mullady, Heather Hannerford, Fred Slegers, Melinda Mead and Laura Maxwell.

SNAP! will work again with set designer Adam Nathan, Shelterbelt board member and resident creative genius. And recent RENT star, Audrey Fisher, will take a brief respite from the stage to design lights. Rounding out the production staff are SNAP! stalwarts Ron Osborn (Costume Design), Brian Callaghan (Stage Manager) Michal Simpson (Producer), Mark Cramer (Visual/Graphics Designer), Rhonda Hall (Props Design) and Dan Baye (Sound Design).

EXECUTION OF JUSTICE curtain times are 8:00 pm, Thursday, Friday and Saturday; 6:00 pm on Sundays. The Sunday, March 28th show will start at 2:00 pm. The Sunday, March 21 show will be sign language interpreted.
