Theatre Tulsa Launches Creative Fundraising Campaign
Major items available for naming include the 48-by-33-foot rehearsal studio and performance space, the main lobby, and more.
Theatre Tulsa has initiated an innovative naming rights campaign, offering the community a chance to place their names on various items and areas within Theatre Tulsa Studios at 5521 S. Peoria Ave. The non-profit aims to raise $50,000 through this unique approach.
“While naming rights are typically associated with libraries, office buildings, sports arenas, or performance venues, we're putting a creative spin on it,” said Theatre Tulsa Executive Director Travis Guillory.
Major items available for naming include the 48-by-33-foot rehearsal studio and performance space, the main lobby, and the extensive costume shop, with prices ranging from $2,000 to $15,000.
Theatre Tulsa is extending the concept by allowing names to be placed on smaller items such as bathrooms, water fountains, sofas, conference table chairs, and even outlets and light switches, with prices starting as low as $25. Additionally, patrons can purchase a named tile in the lobby, similar to Hollywood's Walk of Fame.
The campaign has garnered attention on social media, where it has been praised as “brilliant.” For more information about Theatre Tulsa's fundraiser, visit theatretulsa.org/naming-rights or email info@theatretulsa.org.
