The Pollard Theatre presents the Broadway hit musical Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, based on the popular 1988 film. The production will close on May 8, 2011.

This zany musical comedy centers on two con men living on the French Riviera. The first is the suave and sophisticated Lawrence Jameson, played by Gregory Hopkins, who makes his lavish living by talking rich ladies out of their money. The other, a small-time crook named Freddy Benson, played by Wil Rogers, more humbly swindles women by stirring their compassion with fabricated stories about his grandmother's failing health.

After meeting on a train, they unsuccessfully attempt to work together only to find that this small French town isn't big enough for the two of them. They agree on a settlement: the first one to extract $50,000 from a young female target, heiress Christine Colgate, played by Susan Riley, wins and the other must leave town. A hilarious battle of cons ensues, that will keep you laughing, humming and guessing to the end!

According to Director Jerome Stephenson, Pollard audiences can expect a hilarious roller coaster ride with this production. "It has been such a pleasure to work on this script with this Production Company and we are so excited to bring such a fun new show to Oklahoma audiences."

Musical Director for the show is Todd Malicoate, with Jennifer Rosson acting as choreographer. Other principles in the show include Michael Edsel as Andre, Beverly Caviness as Muriel and Cory King as Jolene.
