It’s opening night of La Bohème and Box Office Assistant, Jess, has to make a choice. Does she attend her stepfather’s funeral the next day or stay behind in the Box?

A 90-minute dark comedy, THE BOX OFFICE asks the question: who is allowed to grieve and for whom and what?

Isabelle Deveaux

Jess
Isabelle Deveaux is a Brooklyn based actor and Sarah Lawrence College graduate. Her theatre credits include “Twisted,” a reading series sponsored by the Paige Fraser Foundation, Dance Nation (Downstage T.C.), and Everybody (Sarah Lawrence College). She was also featured in “Air Upon the Dragon’s Wings: The Jimmi Nicks Story” produced by The Post Lab, LLC. She is super excited to be joining The Box Office cast, and to be under the great Claire Marieb’s direction again. Instagram: @izzydeveaux


Giancarlo Herrera

Luca
Giancarlo Herrera is an NYC based actor who can usually be seen or heard performing across various genre and medium. Previous performances include My Mother's Severed Head (Robert), Primordial Deep (Spinner), Clue: Onstage (Wadsworth), Eurydice (Lord of the Underworld), and more! You can also catch him as the DM every Friday on improv comedy actual play podcast: Dungeons & Drimbus! When he's not in the booth or onstage, he's a devoted father of eight (snakes, not humans) and all around nerd.


Bilgin Turker

Debra
Bilgin is an actor, writer in theater and film. She did a neat storytelling tour with 80 Mins Around the World in PA. She is a part of Restorative Stories with The Barrow Group, and is always working on some new stuff for the future. How exciting to be a part of this show!


Donna Jean Fogel

Donna Jean Fogel was most recently seen in Every Brilliant Thing by Duncan MacMillan with River Rep and Delaware Valley Opera. Previously roles: Judy in The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime and Robyn in Jen Silverman’s The Roommate, both at Boise Contemporary Theater, and An Agatha, in Another Agatha with Migration Theory: Art that Moves. In NYC she has worked with The Barrow Group, Circle Rep Lab/New Circle Theater Co, Fourth Unity, Manhattan Theater Source, Blue Light Theater Co. Additional regional work at Philadelphia Fringe Fest 2019, Geva Theater (NY), Playwrights Theater of NJ, Opera House Arts (ME), Olney Theater (MD), and People’s Light (PA). On Screen, She has appeared on Law and Order and the independent film, Nine (by Jane Shepard). Michael Takiff

Michael Takiff is the author and performer of two solo shows, Black Tie: A Son’s Journey through the Death and Life of His Father and (seen last year at The Flea in NYC) Jews, God, and History (Not Necessarily in That Order), both directed by Tony nominee Brian Lane Green. Other recent projects include Beach Town Maidens (a feature film, dir. Dmitriy Rozin), Caesar in Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar (Shakespeare Workshoppe, dir. Anna Rebek), Brutus in Shakespeare’s Coriolanus (Worlds Elsewhere Theater Company, dir. Edward Gibbons-Brown), and Goldberg’s Kaddish (New York Theater Festival, dir. Keaton Wooden). Trained as a classical singer and jazz dancer, Michael spent ten years touring the country as a stand-up comic. He is the author of numerous books, including an award-winning biography of Bill Clinton published by Yale University Press.

Claire is a NYC based theatre artist. Her directing credits include, Dance Nation by Clare Barron (DownstageTC 2020) and Top Girls by Caryl Churchill (SLC 2019). Her play “Physical Touch is NOT my Love Language and ASMR is Inherently Sexual” was produced by Our Digital Stories in June of 2021. Most recently Claire assistant directed under Jenna Worsham (The Pool Plays) and Ricardo Vazquez (LIU).
