(New York July 6, 2022) Award winning writer/performer Iris Bahr (Curb Your Enthusiasm, Hacks Svetlana, DAI (enough)) will be premiering her new, tragi-comic solo work SEE YOU TOMORROW at the Theatre at the 14th Street Y. This is Bahrs fifth solo show to date, but her first purely autobiographical piece. Through her unique brand of humor and pathos, she shares the emotional journey of relocating overnight to Israel to take care of her mother who had a stroke while she was on video chat with her from LA, and the consequent rollercoaster that followed, as Iris suddenly found herself a full- time caregiver for her mother who had sudden onset dementia as a result of the stroke. Bahr succeeds in finding humor and light even in the darkest and most challenging of times and beyond the rich world of the mother-daughter relationship, she explores themes of memory, boundaries, loss, Middle East culture shock and sporadic resilience. Bahrs critically-acclaimed solo show,DAI (enough), had an extended hit run Off-Broadway, and won the prestigious Lucille Lortel Awardfor Best Solo Performance, as well as two Drama Desk and UK Stage Award nominations. DAI has been performed around the world, including at the United Nations for over 100 ambassadors and delegates. She has written two memoirs (Dork Whore, Macchu My Picchu) that have been translated into several languages, as well as Book of Leon with comedian JB Smoove. She has starred on numerous television shows and will be making her feature film directorial debut early next year. See You Tomorrow will perform August 1-7. Tickets are $30.
