History intervenes when then-teenagers David and Stace plan to spend their first night together after watching President Kennedy's motorcade ride through Dallas. Thirty years later, can this once idealistic young couple rekindle their spark? Or do three decades of American politics stand in their way? This striking drama, which follows the 30-year love affair between a mixed race couple, makes its NYC premiere during the year that marks the 50th Anniversary of President John F. Kennedy's death.

Actor Sheldon Best, who received an AUDELCO nomination for his performance in Freed, returns to 59E59 in this provocative new play. The cast also features Todd Davis, Gano Grills (National Black Theatre of Harlem and the New Federal Theater), Amy Hargreaves (Homeland on Showtime), and Auden Thornton (Three Sisters, dir Daniel Fish).

The design team features Rebecca Phillips (set design), Joyce Liao (lighting design), and Sarah Rachel Jones (sound design). Casting is by Judy Henderson.

Christopher Scott's (director) directing experience includes TV specials, many Off Broadway productions (among them My Secret Garden, For Lovers Only, Golf: the Musical and The Big Bang) and new plays for The Baruch Performing Arts Center, The NYC Fringe Festival, Theatreworks/USA, NYMF and Scripts Up! He is a member of the Playwright/Director's Workshop at the Actor's Studio, an Artistic Associate with Amas Musical Theatre - and teaches at NYU/CAP21, Baruch College and The Michael Howard Studio. Boston Conservatory. SDC.

Barbara Blatner (playwright) is a playwright, poet, and composer. Her one-act play, Advances in Communication, was seen in Pulse Ensemble's Courage Festival in June. Other plays have been produced by the Annual Boston Theatre Marathon, Cleveland Public Theatre, as well as a verse play on radio's New Voice and NPR. Quarterly Books, Baker's Plays and Intertext Press have published collections of her verse. Ms. Blatner teaches at Yeshiva University.
