WASHING MACHINE  will be presented at the Sanford Meisner Theater in NYC June 20-July 19.

WASHING MACHINE is a tragicomic solo performance about the mysterious death of a five year old girl who drowned inside a laundromat washing machine. Inspired by a June 2005 Washington Post article, the play is a bracing re-imagining of the five year old girl's final moments of breath as she and the small town wrestle with the consequences of her death.

Starring up and coming actress Dana Berger, the play expands the girl's last hallucinogenic seconds as she transforms into eight characters that all play a part in her drowning. Originally performed in June 2007 at The Chocolate Factory in Long Island City, Off-Off Broadway Review raved, "Washing Machine will surely turn up again somewhere and when it does, it is not to be missed."

FIST IN THE POCKET THEATER is a bold new company which develops and produces plays that shine a light on the foibles of its misfit characters to reveal and explore their humanity. Utilizing a mixture of the traditional and the bizarre, we explore these entertaining misfits through the intimacy of performance and arresting design to create theater that is fierce, funny, visceral and immediate.
